Position: Logistics Manager

Overview:
Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Logistics Manager for our Tulsa, Oklahoma facility. The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all inbound and outbound freight activities to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods. This role works closely with suppliers, carriers, warehouse teams, production, and customers to maintain efficient shipping and receiving operations while supporting company delivery, inventory, and customer service goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound Freight Coordination
- Schedule and track incoming shipments from suppliers and vendors.
- Coordinate dock appointments and receiving schedules with warehouse operations.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, shortages, or damages.
- Verify shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping notifications.
- Communicate with purchasing and production teams regarding material availability and delivery timing.
- Ensure inbound freight complies with company and regulatory requirements.
Outbound Freight Coordination
- Plan and coordinate domestic and international shipments to customers or other facilities.
- Select carriers and transportation methods based on cost, service, and delivery requirements.
- Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, labels, export paperwork, and customs documents as required.
- Track outbound shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery issues, and freight claims.
Logistics & Transportation Management
- Maintain relationships with freight carriers, brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Optimize freight schedules and transportation costs while maintaining service levels.
- Monitor freight spend and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, customs, and other transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate logistics records within ERP or shipping systems.
Inventory & Operational Support
- Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to support accurate inventory movement and control.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and shipment audits as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping, receiving, and material flow.
- Develop and maintain logistics KPI reporting such as on-time delivery, freight cost, and carrier performance.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of logistics, shipping, receiving, transportation, or supply chain experience required.
- Experience coordinating LTL, FTL, parcel, and expedited freight.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with international shipping and customs regulations.

Supervisor Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job is based in a manufacturing environment with a combination of office and plant floor responsibilities. This role uses standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes.

While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Limited travel might be required for this position.
